What Is a 135-Degree Hinge For?
Some corner cabinet configurations use bi-fold door panels — two narrow panels hinged together, where the outer panel mounts on a 135-degree arm hinge. When opened, the pair of panels fold flat against the inside of the cabinet carcass, maximising access to the corner interior. The 135-degree arm angle is what allows this folding action without the panels colliding with the cabinet face or adjacent cabinetry.
The 135-degree hinge is also used in specific angled corner configurations where the door-to-face angle requires a wider-than-90-degree arm.
