How We Find and Vet Suppliers
We don’t just browse Alibaba. Our sourcing process involves attending trade fairs — including the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, the world’s largest trade fair — where we meet manufacturers face to face, inspect samples, check certifications, and negotiate directly. This is how we found our DTC hardware supplier, our acoustic panel factory, and our WPC panel manufacturer.
Before committing to any supplier, we check:
- Factory audits and quality certifications
- Product samples tested in real NZ conditions
- Compliance with NZ/AU standards where applicable (e.g. SAA/RCM approval for electrical products)
- Minimum order quantities that work for NZ-scale buyers
